An endless mine, generated as you drive
From a single seed number, VeloxSim builds an open-pit mine and an endless haul road on the fly. A haul truck leaves the pit with 87 tonnes of rock simulated grain by grain, drives 26.7 km and tips on a roadside dump pad, at about real time on a single GPU.
An endless mine, generated as you drive. From a single seed number, VeloxSim builds an open-pit mine and an endless haul road on the fly: terrain, road, rock outcrops, boulders and dump pads are generated chunk by chunk as the truck approaches and released behind it.
The truck leaves the pit carrying 87 tonnes of rock simulated grain by grain, 62,208 particles live in our GPU granular solver and pushing back on the truck. It hauls the load 26.7 km and tips on a roadside dump pad. Physics and world streaming run together at about real time on a single GPU; the clip compresses the drive, playing the long stretches of road at up to 40×.
Not all of the load makes it. The rock uses uncalibrated material parameters and stands at 21.5°, so 48.8 t creeps off the open tail along the road and 38.0 t reaches the pad, as the readout at the end of the clip shows.
